The BIOTOXDoc Doctoral Network invites you to join the Next Generation Scientists in Food Safety Symposium, which will take place on 18–19 January 2027 at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza, Italy.
The symposium is organized by the doctoral candidates of BIOTOXDoc project. It will bring together early-career researchers, scientists, and professionals working in food safety to discuss emerging challenges, innovative research, and future perspectives in the field. As part of giving back to the scientific community, participation in the symposium is free of charge.
The symposium is designed as a platform for scientific exchange and networking among the next generation of researchers, while also fostering dialogue with senior scientists from academia and industry and professionals from related disciplines. The programme will feature keynote lectures by Prof. Dan Bebber, Dr. Thomas Glauner, Prof. Doris Marko, and Prof. Chris Elliott. Participants are invited to contribute through oral and poster presentations.
The scientific programme includes the following sessions:
- Climate change and emerging food contaminants in Europe
- Novel analytical methods and early warning systems
- Toxicology, biomonitoring and exposure
- The future of food safety
